Sneak Peak :)

Well, it's been a heck of a few weeks with this kidney junk (the OBGYN thinks it's not stones, but uterus causing a blocked ureter...which is mega nasty painful!). The good news is, now that I know what it is, I have been able to deal with it accordingly. So now I hang out on the couch on my right side, taking the pressure off my left and I just can't be up running around all day (easier said than done with three little boys!) I am SOOOOO grateful that the pain is subsiding though! It was terrible! On the baby front, we went for our gender ultrasound....surprise surprise....we're having another boy!! lol I kinda new it was going to be a boy all along...I was however hoping for a little girl a teeny bit....not enough to make me try again though!! I think it's going to be great having 4 boys!

On that note, this layout is of some pretty old photos! The little boy in the picture on the left is my oldest son when he was around 2 1/2! He's 7 now ;) I've been wanting to scrap these pics for a loooong time! Better late than never!!

The ladies over at Creative Accents gave me a fun new stamp to play with (it's April's Stamp of the Month) I have a couple cards made up to show you later, but I love how this stamp is so diverse and can be used for cards and layouts as well!

I used this fab sketch from Stuck Sketches for the inspiration on this layout :)

The "Go Out and Play" sentiment is part of the Hero Arts stamp. I just recently got some of Tim Holtz's new Distress Paints and I couldn't wait to try them out! This stamp, paired with those paints is a beautiful combination!! It stamps soooo nicely with the paint and gives the edges of the words a great texture! I'm lovin' it!

I played around with a new stencil I got too...I tried using the Distress Paint and dabbing it on...but it didn't work out too well...so I just covered it up with the pictures! Gotta love art! I keep trying to tell my perfectionist first born when it comes to art there are no mistakes...he doesn't believe me yet! lol

The second time I tried it just painting the white paint on...it worked, but I still didn't love it, so I outlined it with the Distress Markers too...It actually took a while for it to grow on me too...I even bought another piece of this main background paper just in case I decided I didn't like it! It eventually grew on me though...so now I can use the back of the paper for another layout!! lol

These pictures of the layout aren't great, but they were taken with my phone as apparently I'm too lazy now to actually take a picture with my camera these days!! I also just got a new pc, and I'm finding it a total learning curve!! I haven't downloaded picassa yet...but I think I might just do that right now!!

Stay tuned for the SOTM cards I have ready for April 1st and have an awesome Easter!!

Blessings,

Sarah

Bathtub Gymnastics

Hi everyone! I have been trying to get down to my scrap room to do something crafty, but I am in the process of moving my room upstairs to my kitchen! About a week ago I got a fun new china cabinet that I am going to house all my crafty supplies in and I've been DYING to get started, however about 4 days ago I came down with Kidney Stones!!! :( If you've ever had them, you can sympathize, if not, let me give you a little idea of what they feel like: I've had 3 babies, without drugs, and I would rather do that again than endure this crazy pain! Also, since I'm pregnant, I don't get any of the fun painkillers that most people get when they get kidney stones...my uncle had them, and they prescribed him Oxycontin...I get Tylenol! Boo!! I've been praying like a mad woman that they will pass soon, so if you're of the praying variety, I would really appreciate the extra prayers!!

Anyway, I made this layout a while ago, and I thought it would be perfect for the challenge over at Frosted Designs which just so happens to be chevrons. I'm sooo loving chevrons these days and they are all the rage in scrapbooking right now!

This picture if of my youngest two in the bathtub, and the picture looks way worse than it is...his feet were on the other side of the tub, and I only left him there for a second so I could snap a photo! lol you can tell I'm a scrapbooker hey?! Who cares if my kid could seriously injure himself...I have to get a picture first!! haha

Pretty much all of the supplies are from my Studio Calico kits :) Love those kits!

Anyway, I'm just in for a bit...have to go to bed and hopefully not be in excruciating pain in the morning!

Blessings!

Dude...THERE'S my Car!!

Hello Hello! I told you I was going to blog more frequently!! I found this fun sketch over at Boys Rule and I was so inspired to create this layout!

One day when I was picking Ethan up from school, he came running out and gave our van a giant hug! It's nice to know that he's still excited to see us after school!

Pretty much most of the products on this page came from a couple different Studio Calico kits. (My wonderful Hubs got me a subscription for Christmas!!)

I really love these fun letters from Heidi Swapp! They're the inkable resist alphas...so fun!

Because I had such a big title, I didn't have much room for journaling, and I really liked the white space that was left in this layout, so I decided to hide a journaling tag in there. I really like hidden journaling. That way you can still tell your story and keep to the original design too :)

I'm going to enter this into the challenge over at Use it Tuesday where they want you to use an un-inked stamp. Well, it just so happens that fun little vintage camera is part of a new set from BoBunny that I just picked up at Creative Accents!

Well, I'm off to bed...Goodnight!

Holy Blogging Batman!!

Okay, so I know I promised I would be better at blogging in the New Year, but alas, I've been crazy busy, and actually pretty sick and tired too...but I have a fabulous reason for that....

YAAAYY!!! This is actually an old ultrasound picture...It was taken when I was 7 weeks and 4 days...I am now 16 weeks pregnant with baby number 4!!! It's so crazy! Most days I'm really excited about it, but there are some days where I think I must have lost my mind to think that 4 kids!!  So, after 3 boys, we are kinda hoping this is a girl, but honestly, we don't really care as long as baby is happy and healthy :)

The sad part about this is that I'm losing my scrap room :( But I'm actually kind of excited because I'm moving it into my kitchen. I'm picking up a really fun china cabinet for my scrappy supplies on Friday and I have a long counter in my kitchen that pretty much doesn't get used. So I will have a comfy puffy bar stool type chair, and I can scrap in the daylight around my family instead of in my dark basement (which will soon become our bedroom). I'm just going to have to get really good at putting a million scrap supplies into one tiny space and keeping it clean too!

Well, on that note, I actually do have a layout to show you too!! I know right?! It's craziness! But I'm finally not feeling like I have to drag myself to bed at 9pm and I'm able to function without wanting to throw up too, so I've actually been spending some time in my scrap room!

Kiwi Lane is having a challenge about "Love". I had taken this picture before Christmas when we packed up some shoe boxes for kids in third world countries for Christmas presents. I asked my oldest son to write a note to each of the kids, and this was what he wrote! It definitely brought a tear to my eye!! What a sweet and caring boy that child of mine is! So I thought this would be perfect to play along with that challenge!

Berry 71 Bleu is having a fun white space challenge and I think this layout has a good amount of white space, so I thought I'd play along too! The girls over at The Paper Girls are challenging us to use Washi Tape. I'm kind of addicted to Washi, and I used a bit of it on this layout...lol

Also, Seriously Creative Challenges is having a really fun photo challenge, and it ends tomorrow at midnight! There's only one entry so far, so your chances of winning a 10.00 gift certificate to their online store are pretty good!! Head on over there and play along!!

Well that's all for me today! I've got some scrapping to do! I really do plan on keeping up this blog more than I have been lately, so please do stop by again!!

Sharp Dressed Man

Hey bloggers! Are you all ready for Christmas?! I am soooo not! We are having a handmade Christmas and so I still have about 10 things to make! Yikes!

Here's a layout that I made of my middle son Caleb on his first day of preschool. I looked over and he was dressed in one red heel, one red boot and a cute hat :)

I'm going to enter this into the challenge over at Frosted Designs for day 3 of their 12 days of Christmas. Day 3 is to use 3 different inks/mists. I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink to ink the edges of my papers to give them a cohesive feel even though there are quite a few different patterns. I flicked some green studio calico mist on my background and I used some black Ranger Archival ink to stamp a few stamps :)

Here's some close ups of this cutie :)

Well, there ya go! I probably won't have anything to post until after Christmas now! But stay tuned because after Christmas I'll be posting all the crafty things I've made for presents for everyone! Have an awesome Christmas everyone!!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Um...yeah, I still exist!!

OMGosh You guys! It's been forever hasn't it?! I haven't posted anything in over 2 months! I actually started feeling really overwhelmed with all my different dt assignments and family activities and scrapbooking just started to feel like a "job" and that is not how I want to feel about scrapping! I love it and it's a huge stress reliever and an amazing creative outlet, but it was not feeling like that for a long time. So, I actually quit all my design teams and took a break. I didn't even scrap for quite a while either! I have recently started to make time for scrapbooking again...but it's mostly stuff I won't be able to show you until after Christmas! I am very glad to be scrapping again, and I plan on blogging regularly again soon...I wouldn't count on much before Christmas though! Maybe if I'm lucky to sneak away and make something that's not for Christmas ;) I haven't even started working on my December Daily album yet! Although I'm dying to get going on that! My hubs also got me a kit subscription to Studio Calico for Christmas, so I'm sooooo excited to start getting my monthly kit!! Wooooohoooo! Anyway, I'm really happy to be back! I've missed all my bloggy friends!

I took a break the other day from the "Christmas presents" to make this fun layout of my middle son Caleb on his way to his first day of school. That backpack is his favourite thing! My dad bought it for him when they came up for a visit. Caleb had an allergic reaction to peanuts at church that morning, so he went to the hospital instead of going shopping with grandpa and Barb, so they bought him this backpack and put a big John Deer truck and a box of oreo cookies inside of it! He's loved it ever since!

the main patterned paper is from Studio Calico and the rest of the paper is from my scraps. Some of it's Basic Grey and other MME...some of it I have no idea! The sunglasses are from Basic Grey too.

The fun little library pocket is Amy Tangerine and the blue wooden hearts are Studio Calico too...with a little TH ink :) I also used the Tim Holtz Sizzix alpha for the title. I can't remember who makes those fun blue arrows....I want to say Pink Paislee, but I'm not sure...I do know that they're super fun resist that come in white, and then you can ink them up as you want! Love them!

Well, there ya go! I'm working on a bit of a blog re-design too, but my time is soooo limited these days that it will be a very slow process!! In the meantime, I've got some fun chevron background...lol

I wanted to play along with Frosted Designs 12 days of Christmas for this layout. Day 4 is to use 4 patterned papers! I think I've managed at least 4 in this layout!

I'm so glad to be back!! Thanks for stickin around too (if anyone has!! lol)

Little Lion Man

Good Morning!

I just wanted to share a quick layout I made using Creative Scrappers Sketch 228

These pictures are of my middle son Caleb on his first Halloween! He was soooo stinkin cute I can't even stand it! He still is very cute! I think it's a survival mechanism ;) cause if he wasn't so cute some times I think it might not go so well for him! lol

I used the MME Halloween collection (I can't remember the name of it) and some older Halloween papers I had that I fussy cut the bats from. I also used my new Tim Holtz strip die for the circle strips. The background paper is from Simple Stories.

Thanks for stopping by! I've got a super busy day of yard work, hockey and a pot luck out in Big Lake tonight! I hope to get some crafty time in tonight too!

Cheers!

Sarah
