Sneak Peak :)

Well, it's been a heck of a few weeks with this kidney junk (the OBGYN thinks it's not stones, but uterus causing a blocked ureter...which is mega nasty painful!). The good news is, now that I know what it is, I have been able to deal with it accordingly. So now I hang out on the couch on my right side, taking the pressure off my left and I just can't be up running around all day (easier said than done with three little boys!) I am SOOOOO grateful that the pain is subsiding though! It was terrible! On the baby front, we went for our gender ultrasound....surprise surprise....we're having another boy!! lol I kinda new it was going to be a boy all along...I was however hoping for a little girl a teeny bit....not enough to make me try again though!! I think it's going to be great having 4 boys!

On that note, this layout is of some pretty old photos! The little boy in the picture on the left is my oldest son when he was around 2 1/2! He's 7 now ;) I've been wanting to scrap these pics for a loooong time! Better late than never!!

The ladies over at Creative Accents gave me a fun new stamp to play with (it's April's Stamp of the Month) I have a couple cards made up to show you later, but I love how this stamp is so diverse and can be used for cards and layouts as well!

I used this fab sketch from Stuck Sketches for the inspiration on this layout :)

The "Go Out and Play" sentiment is part of the Hero Arts stamp. I just recently got some of Tim Holtz's new Distress Paints and I couldn't wait to try them out! This stamp, paired with those paints is a beautiful combination!! It stamps soooo nicely with the paint and gives the edges of the words a great texture! I'm lovin' it!

I played around with a new stencil I got too...I tried using the Distress Paint and dabbing it on...but it didn't work out too well...so I just covered it up with the pictures! Gotta love art! I keep trying to tell my perfectionist first born when it comes to art there are no mistakes...he doesn't believe me yet! lol

The second time I tried it just painting the white paint on...it worked, but I still didn't love it, so I outlined it with the Distress Markers too...It actually took a while for it to grow on me too...I even bought another piece of this main background paper just in case I decided I didn't like it! It eventually grew on me though...so now I can use the back of the paper for another layout!! lol

These pictures of the layout aren't great, but they were taken with my phone as apparently I'm too lazy now to actually take a picture with my camera these days!! I also just got a new pc, and I'm finding it a total learning curve!! I haven't downloaded picassa yet...but I think I might just do that right now!!

Stay tuned for the SOTM cards I have ready for April 1st and have an awesome Easter!!

Blessings,

Sarah

Great techniques on your layout!
4 boys will be great, they will have a blast. I have 2,most people don't understand it actually gets easier when there is more than 1 boy because they have each other to spend their energy on! :-)
