Sketches in Thyme Open Challenge!

I can’t believe that August is almost over! The summer has gone by so fast and it hardly seems like we even had much of a summer weather wise. I haven’t decided if I’m looking forward to school starting or not…I’m kinda liking the lazy mornings, and I’m realizing that more this week as we’ve had hockey school every morning this week. Which means I’ve had to get all the boys ready early every morning. The sad thing is that “early” this week is 10:30am, and I’m struggling with that, so I’m not sure how I’m going to get back in the habit of getting ready to have Ethan at school at 8:20am!!

Anyway, it’s time for Sketches in Thyme's Open Challenge, so all you have to do is find a fun sketch and create a layout with it to play along!

I used this sketch from Sweet Peach Crop Shop:

Here’s what I did with it:

I must say this is not my favourite layout. I think it’s because when I saw this awesome sketch I had such great plans for it, but when it came to creating it, my mojo went missing. But I’ve decided that life is too short to ponder a layout for too long, so here it is! lol

Well, I’m heading out now, I still have to make my husband’s lunch and it’s already 1am, so I hope you all have a great day and please play along with us at Sketches in Thyme!!

*hugs*

Sarah

This is awesome! I love your take on the sketch. I really love the colors and your stamped circles. Love the corrugated one, too! Love how you did your journaling as well!

Very fun layout, and really perfect for those photos! Love the circles and paint dots, especially- I need to use paint more on my layouts!

Love it, Sarah, it turned out great! :) (I do feel you on the whole best-plans-that-don't-turn-out-as-envisioned, though, LOL...happens to all of us!) Love the tilted title+photos, and especially like the freestyle stapled circles and painted dots!
